So, picture this. You organise months in advance to have your elopement in November up north and the day prior was beautiful and sunny. You have aspirations of a beautiful photo shoot with your wife in the sun and then BAM it POURS DOWN.
This was our experience on the day we got married. However, instead of fearing that we won’t get the nice shot of us by the waterfall or by the Victoria battery site, Rochelle set our minds at ease by telling us “we will 100% get you those photos AND MORE!”
That is how Rochelle works, she brings with her the eye for the best shots – prior knowledge of the area (for us it was Karangahake) – and an unrelenting spirit and enthusiasm that is positive and infectious. By the end of it we were worn out and drenched to the bone, but after only a few days, Rochelle had returned to us several AMAZING photos that used the rain (the thing we thought would ruin the aesthetic) to create stunning visuals we could have never even imagined before the day.
Me and my partner are the shy types and not very outgoing(hence the elopment), but she was the perfect person for us. If you want someone who is going to go above and beyond for you, respect you, and extract every beautiful essence of the day, then Rochelle is who you are looking for. Savanna and Troy had their beautiful, unique Hawkes Bay barn wedding. Rochelle’s incredible work really speaks for itself and I have wondered what I could say that her photos don’t already testify to! But, as the mother-of-the bride, I wanted to say this : before Savanna and Troys wedding I told myself to just relax and enjoy the day, be in the moment and absorb it all but to be honest, as wonderful and relaxed as the day was, when the dust had all settled, it was all just a blur and I longed to remember it all in detail!!! Then Rochelle’s photos arrived! Not only were they just completely unreal gorgeous but I could literally relive it all – every precious moment from the getting ready on the morning to the crazy dance floor fun at the end of the day!! We already knew Rochelle was amazing because she did an outstanding job with our wedding photos a couple of years ago. So, when it came to capturing some family moments at the beach, we knew exactly who to call.From the moment we met Rochelle, it was like hanging out with a cool friend. She is so chill and laid-back, instantly making the whole family, grandparents, parents and kids feel comfortable and relaxed. It was all smiles and laughter throughout the shoot.

Rochelle was the perfect match for our wedding day. From the first Skype call we had with her we knew she had the right energy and vibe to match us both and capture some special shots of us and our best mates in our special place of Whangamata. Rochelle invested her own time to travel to Whanga from Tga to scope the ideas I had given her months before the big day and she even found a few extras of her own too.
The showery weather was no drama and just made for more adventures as Rochelle had us under umbrellas on the wharf, had arranged with a local to use a beautiful gully of tall trees and she even got creative with the rings, shoes, evening shots and lighting throughout the day/night.
After the day she was also super efficient at getting us some sneak peaks to satisfy our excitement and followed through a week or so later with the most beautiful handmade package by courier. Such a joy to work with, we would highly recommend Rochelle and her photos as well 🙂

Choosing Rochelle to be our photographer for our wedding was probably one of the best decisions we made. Rochelle did a beyond incredible job capturing our day and was so personable and well received by all. Where do I start? Rochelle … You. Are. Amazing.
I don’t know how she managed to wrangle Russ and I but she absolutely nailed the challenge and the photos that we’ve already received not even a month after our wedding…just WOW. We personally opted for the package that included two photographers to cover the full day and we were absolutely thrilled with the results.
My hubby and I aren’t really big on photos but with Rochelle we never felt like we were being orchestrated or put into poses – she just let us do our thing and worked her magic. She worked tirelessly throughout the long day and we have such a huge variety of photos to pick from that cover those natural and raw moments plus we got all of the family shots that we hoped for including lots of really fantastic pictures of my dear grandad.
