A relaxed Coromandel wedding inspired by a lifetime of memories at Cooks Beach

When Carlie and Paul got in touch asking me if I’d consider photographing their Whitianga Coromandel wedding it was a massive “Hell Yeah”. Funnily enough we discovered even though this lovely couple live just around the corner from me, the Coromandel is wee area of New Zealand that is close to all our hearts. It’s where Carlie spent her child-hood growing, holidaying at her families good old Kiwi Bach on Cooks Beach – so it was a natural choice to get married there.

The girls got ready at the Bach while the boys didn’t have to go far as their accommodation was just upstairs at the Hotel of Salt Bar on the Whitianga Water front. Perfect perfect perfect. I took the ferry with Dad and the girls who quite literally sang the ride over while I’m guessing the boys nervously awaited – we had the lovely Tashina Narelle second shooting and photographing the boys.

This wedding was everything I imagined it was going to be and more – I can’t express how much we loved being part of your day – it was heartfelt; funny; meaningful and crazy fun. Thanks for having us along for the ride. Rochelle and Tashina

It is fair to say that Rochelle exceeded all of our expectations. She was so enthusiastic and truly cared about the end result.
