Rochelle and Gerald’s wedding at Waihi’s stunning Waterlily Gardens. Rochelle had fallen in love with Waterlily Gardens, just out of Waihi, and she knew that an Autumn wedding there would be absolute magic – and she wasn’t wrong!
Everything about the day was beautiful. Rochelle walking the boardwalk with dad, over the lily-filled ponds toward the ceremony, was one of those scenes I’m sure guests will never forget. The bridesmaids wore rust-orange dresses that popped perfectly against the rich, golden tones of autumn, creating the most gorgeous aesthetic. Their wedding party … full of laughter, love, and just the right amount of cheek. Add in adorable kids, a fun high energy MC and happy guests, their day was always going to be a winner.
Waterlily Gardens really does have it all. A serene bush walk winds alongside a natural stream before opening out into a lush backyard filled with walnut trees and tranquil ponds. One of the highlights for photos … that incredible ivy-covered wall and I know they happen to have a beautiful woods area also!
Rochelle and Gerald took a short stroll away from guests to enjoy some chill time with their wedding party. I love this part of the day – it gives everyone a chance to recharge, slow down, and just soak up time with friends. We then shift into some fun photos with the guys and gals before sending them back to join the celebrations.
Ending with a nice easy stroll in golden hour which was just beautiful and warm to experience – and what was super cool was after our relaxed photo wander (with everything so conveniently close), Rochelle and Gerald had plenty of time to rejoin their guests for a good ol’ catch-up and proper chinwag with their guests.
