Helicopters, sand dunes and a beautiful backyard wedding in Papamoa
Where do I begin in describing Alex and Callum’s big day. I already knew they wanted their wedding day to be all about friends and family coming together. A non fuss fair dinkum country/backyard wedding. I went to meet them for the first time at the base of the Papamoa Hills where they planned to show me where they planned to marry.
As soon as I met these two I knew we were going to have a fabulous day. They asked me if I’d be okay doing a wee heli ride with Alex’s big bro – once I’d worked out big bro looked like he had all the great creds of a decent pilot it got pretty exciting and I had to wait impatiently for March to come around. The words country and rustic vibes are used a lot these day’s for weddings but Alex had all these vibes happening naturally – get a load of how the girls arrived to the ceremony!
After a fun relaxed wedding ceremony and a lovely catch up with friends and family we zoomed off in Mason’s heli for a little play up the Papamoa Hills to then zoom off again to an area usually untouched, close to Maketu where we could see Mauao in the distance – a quick play in the dunes and we were back before we knew it for Alex and Callum to be able to spend that valuable time with guests.
Honestly I do it all again tomorrow if I could. Thanks guys for a fabulous day. – Rochelle
